Save our forests

Central government is planning to sell off the remaining publicly-owned forests in this country and once they are gone, they are gone.   The government says NGOs and communities will come forward (as well as private companies) but charities such as the Woodland Trust can’t afford it and, by the government’s own admission, local community groups will probably end up with only 2% of the total.

In our area we have wonderful spaces in Thetford Forest and Rendlesham.

Please take action.  See the petitions from 38 degrees  http://www.38degrees.org.uk/page/s/save-our-forests and the Woodland Trust http://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/en/Pages/default.aspx and make use of our forests while you still can.
